WHERE AND WHEN TO SEE THE EDGE

The EDGE can be seen at the Bainbridge Performing Arts Center, 200 Madison Ave. N., Bainbridge Island, WA 98110. We perform (usually) the first Saturday of each month (see dates at right).

Bainbridge Island is easily accessible from Seattle via the Washington State Ferries system. The ferries depart Pier 52 on a regular basis and you can either walk on or drive. It’s a delightful 35-minute ride across Puget Sound. The fastest walking route from the ferry is to turn left on Winslow Way, then right on Erickson, which brings you to BPA’s “back-door,” at the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum. Walk in past the museum, and BPA is the big building straight ahead. Alternatively, walk down Winslow Way until you get to Blackbird Bakery, grab an espresso and a pastry, turn right and walk up Madrona to BPA. Drivers should follow Winslow Way all the way to the four-way stop at Madison, turn right, and turn right again at the BPA sign (parking is plentiful at BPA, and free).

It’s worth coming to Bainbridge early to take advantage of the shopping and restaurants in Winslow. We have a number of fine restaurants: Four Swallows ($$$), Cafe Nola ($$$), Shima Sushi ($$$), Harbor Pub ($$), and more. Plus, galleries and shops.
